Classes & Workshops

At Adira Occupational Therapy, we provide various community courses to improve people's well-being and self-assurance. Our objective is to help individuals become more independent in their daily lives. Adira OT courses are developed to equip participants with practical abilities, knowledge, and techniques to overcome physical, cognitive, and emotional health obstacles.

Introduction to Solids Caregiver Course

A comprehensive in-person group course for caregivers introducing solid foods to their infants. Our approach is based on the latest evidence-based methods for infant feeding, including:

  • Signs of readiness and the ideal time to introduce real foods

  • Feeding approaches

  • Reflexes and mechanisms of gagging

  •  Preventing choking

  • Fear of choking and anxiety surrounding introducing solids

  • Selecting utensils

  • Evidenced-based recommendations


Introduction to Solids In-home Caregiver Course

Adira OT offers the "Introduction to Solids Caregiver Course" in a private, one-on-one workshop in the comfort of your own home.

  • Two hour in-home class for two caregivers


Para las mamas: OT for Maternal Health

  • Learn safe techniques and preventative measures for lifting, carrying, and feeding your baby to avoid injury and pain caused by the repetitive nature of this new routine.

  • Discover the proper usage of baby gear, including car seats, strollers, and carriers, to fit your body and prevent physical discomfort or strain.

  • Learn how to prioritize self-care by making it a part of your daily routine, allowing you to manage your busy schedule while maintaining your physical well-being and mental health. 

  • Learn about age appropriate ways to play with your baby to support their milestones

  • Engage with other mamas and grow your community because we can't and should't have to do it alone.
